Pentax Optio E90 review
The affordable Optio E90 is loaded with user-friendly features that make
taking great high-quality digital images effortless, even for first-time
digital camera users. The PENTAX exclusive Auto Picture mode automatically
selects the most appropriate shooting mode for a given subject or scene.
Capture stunning portraits with ease, thanks to Automatic Face Detection
with Smile Capture. Compatible with easy-to-find AA batteries, and with
World Time and Date Imprint functions, the Optio E90 makes an excellent
travel companion. Colour Choices:
Combining approximately 10.1 effective megapixels with the high-performance
PENTAX zoom lens, the Optio E90 delivers brilliant, high-quality images
with well-defined details.
Wide-angle 3X optical zoom lens, covering focal lengths from approximately
31.5mm to 94.5mm (in the 35mm format) is particularly handy when
photographing landscapes or group snapshots in a confined space.
High resolution 2.7’’ LCD screen (230.000 dots) assists in the
capture and review of images and video
Face Detection function automatically catches the subject’s face in
sharp focus and in optimum exposure. With Smile Capture, you can program
the camera to automatically release the shutter when the subject’s face
turns straight toward the camera and smiles.
PENTAX-original Auto Picture mode takes the guesswork out of photography by
analyzing the scene and setting the best corresponding shooting mode.
With simple push-button operation, the Optio E90’s user-friendly Green
mode automatically selects the optimum combination of exposure settings,
ISO sensitivity and other factors for a given subject or scene.
In situations prone to subject shake, such as when shooting indoors or at
dusk, the Optio E90’s High-Sensitivity SR mode automatically raises
the sensitivity to produce sharp, blur-free images. During movie recording,
it offers the exclusive Movie SR (Shake Reduction) mode to prevent blurred
movie clips.
6 digital filters allow you to add various visual effects to recorded
images without the need for a computer. You can even apply multiple filters
to a single image. The creative Digital Panorama mode automatically creates
a single panoramic picture from as many as three images.
The Optio E90’s exterior has been treated with a smooth non-slip rubber
coating, and the right side of the front panel forms a grip for a firm and
comfortable hold of the camera.
Compatibility with easy to find AA batteries is ideal for travel, without
having to carry battery charging equipment or international power plug
adapters.
Media Impression 2.0 for PENTAX image viewing, editing and filing software
