The Optio P70 features a 4X wide-angle optical zoom, approximately 12
effective megapixels for super-high-resolution images, and a large,
easy-to-view 2.7-inch colour LCD monitor in an ultra-compact and slim
metallic body. It also offers a variety of user-friendly features including
a new Vertical Snap mode to facilitate vertical-position shooting, a Smile
Capture function to automatically release the shutter when it detects a
subject’s smile, and an Auto Picture mode to automatically select one of
eight shooting modes for a given subject.


12.0 megapixel CCD assures high resolution images


The 4X wide-angle optical zoom lens, covering an angle of view equivalent
to approximately 27.5 to 110 mm in 35 mm format is ideal for shooting a
broad spectrum of subjects, from landscapes to indoor, portrait or group
photos.


Triple anti-shake protection to prevent different types of camera shake


High-speed Face Recognition AF & AE function detects up to 32 faces in
the picture frame in approx. 0.03 seconds, and automatically sets the
optimal exposure. Smile Capture automatically recognizes smiles and takes
the picture when a smile is detected while Blinking Detection warns you if
the subject blinked at the moment the shot was taken


Auto Picture mode lets the camera automatically determine the shooting
conditions for a total of 8 scenes (Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, Night
Scene Portrait, Flower, Sport, Candlelight and Standard modes) and chooses
the optimum settings for each.


2.7 inch, wide view LCD makes capturing and reviewing images easy


Vertical Snap mode provides the ease of cell phone-camera picture taking
with the quality of the latest PENTAX Optios by using the OK button to snap
shots and the 4-way controller to adjust zoom.


Digital Wide mode merges two shots into one image in the camera for
ultra-wide-angle expressions equivalent to a focal length of approximately
21mm in 35mm format


HD movie capture vividly captures moving memories in wide-screen 720p at 15
FPS.


Mode palette provides quick access to 26 shooting modes


Digital Panorama mode automatically stitches a series of three images into
one wide scene


Frame composite function allows photographers to shoot and create images
with decorative frames - 90 built-in styles to choose from


Approximately 33.7MB of built-in memory
