Pentax Optio H90 review
With a clean, contemporary design, the fashionable Optio H90 offers a full
assortment of features to capture a variety of subjects and scenes. It has
a wide angle 5X optical zoom lens, a 12.1 megapixel high resolution CCD
sensor, and widescreen HD video capture at 720p and 30 FPS. Improved Pixel
Track Shake Reduction technology captures blur-free images and the Face
Detection, Smile Capture, and Blink Detection functions help you to take

The Optio H90 sports a simple, extremely functional design, with extensive
use of straight lines and easy-to-push round control buttons efficiently
positioned for easy access and a grip that is shaped for a firm,
comfortable hold.
Combining a 12.1 megapixel sensor with the PENTAX-developed imaging engine
and high performance zoom lens, the Optio H90 delivers high-quality images
with sharp details and faithful colour reproduction.
5X wide angle optical zoom lens, covering an angle of view equivalent to
approximately 28 to 140 mm in 35 mm format is ideal for shooting a broad
spectrum of subjects, from landscapes to indoor, portrait or group photos.
The large 2.7 inch, 230,000 dot LCD makes it easy to frame a subject for
video or still image capture.
Three different SR (Shake Reduction) modes minimize the adverse effects of
camera shake and subject shake in both still images and movie clips: Pixel
Track SR mode effectively compensates for camera shake during still-image
shooting digitally without increasing image noise, High-Sensitivity SR mode
automatically raises the sensitivity up to ISO 6400 under poor-lighting
conditions and the Movie SR mode prevents camera shake and subject shake
exclusively during movie recording.
Capture beautiful, flawless movie clips at 16:9 high-definition TV
proportions (1280 x 720 pixels) at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
Advanced Fast Face Detection technology sees up to 32 faces in as little as
0.03 seconds for easy portrait photography. Smile Capture automatically
recognizes smiles and takes the picture when a smile is detected while
Blink Detection warns you if the subject blinked at the moment the shot was
taken.
PENTAX Auto Picture mode takes the guesswork out of photography by
analyzing the scene and setting the best corresponding shooting mode.
Personalize recorded images with digital filters and photo frames.
D-Range setting prevents washed out highlights (overexposed) and blocked up
shadows (underexposed) in your pictures.
Eye-Fi connected: optimized for use with Eye-Fi wireless memory cards.
