Pentax optio RZ10 review
The Optio RZ10 offers a high-magnification 10X optical zoom that can handle
a wide variety of subjects and occasions — from travel and landscape to
action and sports. It has a host of advanced features including a high
resolution 14 megapixel CCD, dual shake reduction and an upgraded Auto
Picture mode. It’s casual but stylish design makes it perfect companion
to take along anywhere and on all occasions — from trips to day-to-day

Equipped with a high-performance 10X optical zoom lens covering focal
lengths from 28mm wide angle to 280mm telephoto (in the 35mm format), the
Optio RZ10 can capture beautiful, pictures with a wide range of subjects
and scenes — from spectacular landscapes to fast-action sports events.
Equipped with a 14 megapixel sensor, the Optio RZ10 delivers high quality
pictures and well-defined details. Even when images are enlarged, you are
assured of brilliant, high-resolution prints with edge-to-edge sharpness.
The new-generation Auto Picture mode automatically selects the most
appropriate shooting mode and optimizes various camera settings to assure
beautiful and sharp pictures.
Dual Shake Reduction technology combines Mechanical SR via CCD shift
mechanism with Pixel Track SR to assure sharp, blur-free images even under
demanding photographic conditions prone to camera shake, such as when using
a telephoto lens or when shooting a sunset or indoor scene without flash.
Capture beautiful, high-definition-TV-quality movie clips (1280 x 720
pixels). During movie recording, the sophisticated Movie SR (Shake
Reduction) mode helps prevents blurry images by digitally minimizing camera
shake.
Face Detection AF & AE function detects up to 32 faces in the image
field, then catches them in sharp focus and in optimum exposure in as
little as 0.03 seconds. In addition to popular features such as the
innovative Small Face filter, Smile Capture and Blink Detection, the Optio
RZ10 can detect not only human faces, but also the faces of dogs and cats
thanks to the Pet Detection function.
Large 2.7 inch, 230,000 dot LCD makes it easy to frame a subject for video
or still image capture.
Burst Shooting of up to 40 images at a maximum speed of 9.1 images per
second.
Super Macro focusing captures the smallest subjects as close as 1cm from
the front of the lens.
Eye-Fi connected : optimized for use with Eye-Fi wireless memory cards.
Media Impression 2.0 for PENTAX image viewing, editing and filing software
included (compatible with Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 operating systems)
