Pentax Optio I-10 review
Inspired by the classic look of a film SLR, the ultra-slim Optio I-10, with
a leatherette textured body and the classic PENTAX logo placed front and
centre, proves that fashion and function can go hand in hand. It features a
wide angle, 5X optical zoom lens, 12.1 megapixel high resolution CCD
sensor, 2.7 inch widescreen LCD, and HD video capture. Triple Shake
Reduction technology ensures sharp images even in the most challenging
lighting conditions while the improved Face Detection function with Smile
Capture and Blink Detection makes taking people pictures a breeze. Plus,
with the unique Pet Detection feature, you are sure to catch your active
canine and feline friends in sharp focus as soon as they look at the
camera. Colour Choices:
Combining approximately 12.1 effective megapixels with the PENTAX-developed
imaging engine and high-performance PENTAX zoom lens, the Optio I-10
delivers brilliant, high-quality images with well-defined details.
5X wide angle optical zoom lens, covering an angle of view equivalent to
approximately 28 to 140 mm in 35 mm format is ideal for shooting a broad
spectrum of subjects, from landscapes to indoor, portrait or group photos.
The large 2.7 inch, 230,000 dot LCD screen with anti-reflective coating
features a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, giving a cinematic feel to video
or still image capture.
Triple Shake Reduction technology includes a mechanical sensor-shift
mechanism (offering a camera-shake compensation effect equivalent to
approximately 2.5 shutter steps), High-Sensitivity shake reduction mode
(Digital SR) via high ISO, and Movie SR, for sharp images, even in the most
challenging lighting conditions.
The new-generation Face Detection AF & AE function detects up to 32
faces in the image field, then catches them in sharp focus and in optimum
exposure in as little as 0.03 seconds. In addition to popular features such
as the innovative Small Face filter, Smile Capture and Blink Detection, the
Optio I-10 can detect not only human faces, but also the faces of dogs and
cats thanks to the Pet Detection function.
PENTAX Auto Picture mode takes the guesswork out of photography by
analyzing the scene and setting the best corresponding shooting mode.
Capture images remotely with infrared remote control capabilities (using
optional PENTAX remote controller).
Personalize recorded images with digital filters and photo frames.
D-Range setting prevents washed out highlights (overexposed) and blocked up
shadows (underexposed) in your pictures.
Eye-Fi connected: optimized for use with Eye-Fi wireless memory cards.
