Kia K2700 review
Built for comfort, built to perform and built to last - K2700 is Australia's most versatile light truck. With loads of room out back and packed with features inside, K2700 provides exceptional value for money. At the business-end of things, a sturdy 2.7 litre diesel engine delivers efficient power and fuel economy. By providing maximum torque for when it's needed most, K2700 helps you take hard work, head on. Great economy starts with the K2700’s efficient diesel engine. Producing a highly impressive 172Nm of torque at just 2400 rpm, it is an engine designed to pull the maximum load whilst retaining fuel efficiency. Not only will the environment benefit from the lower CO2 emissions, your bottom line will benefit directly from excellent fuel economy. And with greater strength, durability, reliability and performance than most petrol counterparts there are plenty of long-term economic advantages.
With an overall length of 5.1m and a 3.1m long cargo deck, K2700 offers a viable long-haul solution for the price of a short-haul. With this much space, K2700 is big news for business. Kia’s expertly-tuned suspension and advanced braking system provides superior manoeuvrability however big the load. This all adds up to a highly stable configuration, accommodating a payload of up to 1,500 kg? (with a tray weight of 140kg).
K2700 is made from heavy-duty materials, and is built to last. Safety features include a reinforced frame, ventilated disk brakes, height leveller adjustable headlights, folding door-mounted mirrors, a wide bumper and large clear lens headlamps, for protection at all times. While you may never need it, the Kia Customer Care Plan will cover you for three years or 100,000 km, from the date of first registration. Kia’s Roadside Assistance includes towing, vehicle recovery and 24 hour assistance.

The stylish cloth interior has ample legroom and ergonomic driver seating with adjustable head and backrests. Instruments and gauges are easy to read and use. Plus there is generous storage, with a large glovebox and a flexible middle seat that folds down to provide a storage area with clipboard and drink holders. A refined engine delivers one of the quietest rides in it’s class. So while it works like a truck, K2700 feels like a sedan.
