10.0 megapixel CCD assures high resolution images

The 5X optical zoom lens, covering an angle of view equivalent to
approximately 28 to 140 mm in 35 mm format makes is ideal for shooting a
broad spectrum of subjects, from expansive landscapes, architecture, and
group photos in confined spaces as well as close-up telephoto shots of
subjects.

The Optio W60 can be used underwater continuously for up to 2 hours at a
depth of up to four meters. It has been rated to the JIS Class 8
Waterproofing standard as well as the JIS Class 5 Dustproof standard
against sand and dust. It can operate in temperatures as cold as –10°C,
making it great choice for shooting in adventurous settings.

The Optio W60 can capture movies at resolutions as high as 1280 x 720
pixels, which is comparable to HDTV resolution. It also has several
features to make recording easier and more enjoyable, including the Movie
SR (Shake Reduction) function, which automatically corrects camera shake,
and the Underwater Movie mode, which optimizes settings for recording
underwater.

The Face Recognition AF & AE function delivers beautiful portrait shots
with a single setting. This function automatically sets the focus and
exposure, so that it can detect up to 32 faces at one time in only about
0.03 seconds. The camera also comes with a Smile Capture mode, which waits
until the subject is smiling to shoot, and Blink Detection, which warns the
photographer if the subject blinked at the moment the shot was taken. Zoom
in on the subject’s face automatically with the face close-up playback
feature.

Auto Picture mode lets the camera automatically determine the shooting
conditions and chooses the optimum settings for seven scene modes,
including Flower, Sport, Night Scene Portrait, Landscape and Standard
modes.

Digital SR (Shake Reduction) mode reduces the effect of camera shake and
blurring of the subject when photographing still images. The sensitivity is
adjusted automatically, to as high as the ultrahigh sensitivity of ISO
6400, to match the brightness of the subjects.

The 2.5 inch IPS (In Plane Switching) LCD monitor with Anti-Reflective
coating is viewable at wide angles, even in bright sunlight.

Macro mode can be used as close as one centimeter away from a subject for
stunning close-up shots

Digital wide function merges two shots into one image for ultra-wide-angle
expressions equivalent to a focal length of approx. 21mm in 35mm format

The SP (Super Protect) coating adds superior water repellency to the front
protective glass of the lens to prevent water droplets from forming and
blurring the picture

Panorama mode stitches a series of up to three shots into one wide photo

Intelligent zoom function extends the zoom range without compromising the
optical zoom’s image quality
