We often do not realize the full possible appreciation of music because of
speaker limitations. Many designs are best suited to a particular type of
music reproduction, whether it be the subtleties of the classics or the
in-your-face-power of heavy metal. To bridge the gap in musical performance
and appreciation, the aptly named GAP 828 is designed to suit all needs and
bring you the world of music in a three-dimensional sound stage. Its exotic
shape is no accident. Based on the strongest architectural form known to
man, the GAP 828’s pyramidal enclosure is built to exacting
standards, eliminating any unwanted vibrations and virtually all sonic
refractions. The woofer is enclosed in a specially designed, double-walled
chamber. The outer wall is made of one-inch thick, high density fiber board
over a 3/4 inch inner wall. Bonded together with acoustically inert glue,
the bass chamber does not telegraph vibrations into the upper structure.
From the height of the enclosure to the angle and location of the drivers,
the 828 allows sound wave motions to progress faithfully to the signal in
its most natural and pure form. The ultimate benefit of this unique,
time-aligned design is holographic imaging and minimized room interaction.

Components are selected with the utmost care. A ten-inch fiberglass woofer
is married to a regulation line developed by Eli Gershman to provide bass
which is deep, tight and well-defined. For exceptional midrange and high
frequency dynamics and neutrality, the GAP 828 incorporates a 5.25 inch
carbon fiber cone midrange and a silk dome tweeter. Black or Burgundy
lacquer. Custom lacquers optional.
