Samsung HT-BD8200 review
This award-winning virtual surround sound unit is the first home theatre
soundbar equipped with a fully integrated Full HD 1080p blu-ray player and
wireless subwoofer, designed to expand the prowess of any home theatre.
Wall-mounted or standing below your HDTV, this compact blu-ray soundbar
system provides big theatre sound in areas where space is limited.
Platinum Black Touch of Colour™ Ethereal, artistic, and eco-aware, the
Crystal Design uses subtle colour gradation, lighting effects, and natural
textures to inspire deeper interaction with entertainment. The crystalline

HDMI™ v 1.3 with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) A true "plug and play"
product, HDMI™ enables you to connect your HD video and audio with 1
simple cable. The Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) feature allows you to operate multiple
supported HDMI™ products with a single remote control.
wireless subwoofer You’ll really feel the sound with our wireless
powered subwoofer, but you won’t see it: since its wireless, you can
place it anywhere, even behind furniture or in a corner.
kelp cone speakers The HT-BD8200 speaker cones are constructed using sea
kelp rather than the traditional, chemically-treated paper pulp, for
natural and improved sound reproduction.
Wi-Fi Ready Connect to the internet wirelessly with the addition of a
Samsung wireless USB dongle (not included). Download firmware updates and
BD Live content seamlessly without the need for an Ethernet cable or jack.
BD Live Ready BD Live (Blu-ray profile 2.0) enables you to download
additional content and interactive features directly to your Blu-ray player
via internet connection on BD Live supported discs. 1GB of memory (not
included) is required to support this function.
Full HD 1080p blu-ray disc player With blu-ray Full HD (and 24
frames-per-second) playback, you get every single pixel out of a film
possible. Experience vivid, crystal-clear visuals that are more natural,
more realistic and simply stunning. You can drop in an old DVD and watch
the picture get unconverted to near HD quality. Even your CDs will sound
great, and you can also play MP3, DivX and JPEG files.
wall mountable The unique form factor of the HT-BD8200 does not sacrifice
function. The universal design of the speaker bar allows it to be wall
mounted below your flat panel HDTV or to sit on a table top. Hardware is
included for both mounting options.
iPod® and iPhone® docking cradle Enjoy music and video from your iPod®
or iPhone® through your home theatre system with the included docking
cradle. The advanced docking system allows you to simultaneously charge
your device while listening to multi-media files and it can all be
controlled using the home theatre remote.
wireless PC streaming Enjoy movies, music and digital photos from your PC
on your TV via Samsung’s networked blu-ray player. Using a wired (or
optional wireless) Ethernet connection you can stream DivX®, MP3 and JPEG
files in real-time from your home computer to your TV all from the
convenience of your blu-ray player’s remote control.
USB Host Play USB Host Play function enables various multimedia files to be
played without the need for a PC, including DivX® MP3 and JPEG. The CD
Ripping feature extracts music from CD’s and copies them to a supported
USB device in MP3 format.
BD Wise This advanced technology takes DVD Up-Conversion to the next level
with Blu-ray-like video quality. Via 2-way HDMI™ communication the DVD
Player identifies supported Samsung HDTVs and the two devices automatically
optimize picture settings for the highest quality DVD picture.
