2008-2012 Lexus IS F review
A 5.0 litre V8 engine so big, it demanded an expanded bonnet design. The world's first sequential eight speed automatic transmission. Best-of-breed race-tuned suspension and BremboTM brakes, with gear changes in 0.1 seconds. The Lexus IS F challenges expectations - and performance thresholds - on and off the track.
Exterior
Quadruple exhaust pipes aren't just there for looks - Lexus engineers obsessively fine-tuned the exhaust note into a phenomenal roar. At full throttle the IS F sounds unlike any other vehicle on the streets.
Interior
Performance-inspired detailing extends throughout the IS F cabin, with dark silver carbon fibre finishes, aluminium pedals and sculpted bucket front seats, providing additional lateral support for high performance driving.
Technology
Packed with 311kW of raw power at 6,600rpm and 505Nm of torque at 5,200rpm, the IS F is equally at home on the racetrack as it is on city streets.
