Stefani Terracotta review
Stefani gravity fed water purifiers constantly cool water by the natural evaporative properties of the terracotta. A Stefani gravity feed purifier is the simplest, most reliable way to have pure water on tap - instantly - whenever and wherever you want it. Using the Terracotta Purifier:Before use rinse out the top and bottom chambers of the purifier to remove any dust that may have settled. Fit the tap into the hole in the lower chamber with a seal on each side of the terracotta chamber. Hold the locking nut in place and tighten by turning the tap from the outside. Then simply fill the top chamber with water, which will drip through the purifying candle to the bottom chamber, ready to use. Water is purified up to the rate of approximately one litre per hour per candle. The purifier water may have a slight clay taste for up to 21 days. This is not harmful and occurs simply because the terracotta is very dry and unglazed. Emptying the purifier and completely refilling it each day during this initial period will ensure this taste disappears.
