Salter 9140  shows weight, body water percentage (hydration) plus the percentage of body fat, using the B.I.A. system (Bio Impedance Analysis). This passes a tiny electrical impulse through the body to determine fat from lean, which cannot be felt and is perfectly safe. However, it is not recommended for use by anyone with medical implants.
