Samsung VC240 review
Have your next meeting on your desktop. The Samsung VC240 23.6"
widescreen LCD display gives you HD videoconferencing, displaying H.264
video at 30 fps in 720 p high-definition video. Integrated stereo speakers
and dual echo-canceling mics ensure clear, crisp sound on both ends of the
conference. The VC240 is designed to work with Radvision’s Scopia
MCU’s for seamless interoperability with multiple devices including
V2oIP devices, video terminals, video phones, PC video devices and even 3G
cell phones (requires 3G Gateway). The versatile VC240 can also function as
a PBX terminal, and allow you to add a receiver and dial pad.
HD Videoconferencing The high-resolution 23.6" widescreen monitor
displays H.264 video at 30 fps in 720 HD video. You can view all conference
participants, as well as share photos, graphs and other information.
Integrated HD Camera A built-in 720 p HD camera takes full advantage of the
VC240’s capabilities.
One-to-Many Capability The VC240 works with Radvision’s Scopia
MCU’s, for seamless interoperability with multiple devices. Connect
to other V2oIP devices,video phones, PC video devices and even 3G cell
phones (requires 3G Gateway). Audio-only devices are also supported.
Multi-Function Monitor The VC240 can be used as a standalone
videoconference system or a multi-function desktop monitor or both. It
easily switches between modes.
Integrated Speakers and Dual Mics Integrated stereo speakers and dual
echo-canceling microphones mean you’ll hear and be heard, with
amazing clarity.
PBX Terminal You can use the VC240 as a PBX terminal, and add a receiver
and dial pad if you prefer.
