Pentax Optio E30 review
The affordable and user-friendly Optio E30 offers the power of 7.1
effective megapixels and a 3X optical zoom. It has a large 2.4 inch LCD
monitor, 11 MB of built-in memory and a helpful Green mode that allows new
digital camera users to enjoy effortless picture taking. The Optio E30
accepts widely available AA batteries so you can shoot with confidence when
away from home.

specifically to use less power so that you can take approximately 200
photos when running on alkaline batteries.
Green mode offers point & shoot convenience. A single button press
automatically sets the exposure, sensitivity, white balance, and other
parameters according to the shooting conditions.
Selection of shooting and playback modes is made much easier with the Mode
Palette, PENTAX’s original mode-selection function that lists mode icons
on the LCD monitor. By arranging 15 shooting modes, including Landscape,
Pet, and Food, and 8 playback modes, the Mode Palette speeds up mode
selection with its straightforward display and guide function.
The 3x optical zoom lens covers a wide range of shooting conditions, from
wide angle landscape shots to sharp portraits. Such zooming power can also
be combined with 4X digital zoom to achieve a total of 12X zoom capability.
The large, 2.4” LCD monitor on the Optio E30 allows easy composition and
framing of shots, and offers a bright image during playback for review.
ImageLink compatibility means the Optio E30 can be docked with compatible
printers and pictures can be printed without using a PC.
