The DCRSR40 features a 30GB Hard Disk Drive to store all of your video footage and still images with up to 21 hours of recording time. 20x Optical/800x Digital Zoom, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens, and 2.5" Touch Screen LCD makes capturing your video footage simple and easy, together with Sony unique features such as One Touch DVD Burn, Easy PC Back up and HDD Smart Protection system incorporating Video Stream Buffer.Sony's unique 'One Touch DVD Burn' communicates effortlessly with your PC to burn your memories to DVD at the touch of a button, while the Easy PC Back Up feature intelligently synchs with your PC to back up any newly created video footage, eliminating any accidental duplicate copies and saving space on your PC hard drive. Alternatively, you can connect to the new DVDirect burner (optional purchase) to create DVDs simply and easily without having to connect to a PC (see related links). Sony Handycam HDD Smart Protection prevents data loss and protects the hard drive.
