The DCRSR60 features a 30GB Hard Disk Drive with high quality widescreen video recording up to 21 hours and 1MP still image capture. Sony Handycam HDD Smart Protection prevents data loss and protects the hard drive. Composed of three fundamental components, HDD Smart Protection relies on a 3G sensor to detect a dropping motion which disengages the disc drive. Sony's unique buffering system allows the Handycam to continue recording and then write to the hard disk drive once the camera is stabilised – allowing for seamless, uninterrupted footage unlike any other HDD camcorder. Further protection is offered through the interior shock absorber.
