2003-2007 Hummer H2 review
The Hummer H2
The Hummer began in 1979 when many companies competed for the development of the US Army's new High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). AM General (A division of General Motors US) made a prototype called Humvee and went to test it in the Nevada desert in July 1980. After being selected once it passed the first round of tests, the Humvee was sent on a five-month test period with the Army and two other vehicles. After the tests were completed, it was decided that the Humvee was the best possible vehicle for the job. Then, in 1983, AM General Corporation began the manufacturing of the Humvee. In 1992, they introduced their civilian version, dubbed the Hummer.
GM has now introduced a new varient of the Hummer, called the H2. This is a much friendlier version of the original, now called the H1. The H2 has been set up as a pure civilian vehicle, and although it does not have quite as many features as the H1 (such as EMP blast protection), it is still an impressive vehicle. Although cut from the same cloth as the original beast, the H2 is definitely its own vehicle.
American Vehicle Sales is proud to have the Hummer H2 available within their range. Their team of design engineers and quality conversion technicians have perfected via CAD assisted designs a perfectly mirror imaged Right Hand Drive version of the Hummer. Thier conversion faciility utilises international standard ISO procedures in ensuring that each Hummer is of the highest standard.
