2005-2012 Porsche 911 review
The 911. No other sports car will ever have its number.
With a history that speaks for itself, the Porsche 911 is one vehicle to consider. With 13 different models to choose from there is a Porsche 911 for just about any taste. From the basic 911 Carrera to the 911 Carrera Cabriolet to the 911 Targa4, to the 911 Turbo and the 911 GT3 RS, all models have two things in common?their fast and they handle well. Winding roads are where the Porsche 911 really shows its stuff but those long straight roads should not be overlooked either.
With multiple engine choices from the 3.6 litre 6-cylinder boxer petrol engine to the 3.8 litre 6-cylinder turbo boxer the Porsche 911 has what it takes, with 0-100 km/h in the 4.8 second range and horse powers over 350, the Porsche 911 knows how to move.
The Porsche 911's interior is built around the driver, practical and convenient, all switches and controls are ergonomically positioned for easy, intuitive operation. The multifunction steering wheel is designed to offer push button operation of the audio system, telephone and satellite navigation system. Seats come in a variety of choices also, from Standard, Sport and Adaptive all designed for your particular tastes.
Safety on the Porsche 911 is taken seriously, with weight sensing front seat airbags as well as head-rest and door in the event of a crash the airbags deploy based on the weight of the passenger. There is an optional tyre pressure monitoring system, a headlight and fog light cleaning system. There is even an all-wheel drive model. Dynamic stability control helps keep you on the road and ABS brakes. These are but a few of the many safety features provided on the Porsche 911.
